  • Similarly, in the year 2021, DR and DA increased to 28% from January.

  • Those who are Level 1 employees can get arrears ranging from Rs 11880 to Rs 37554.
  • Similarly, the amount of arrears of Level 13 employees can range from Rs 144200 to Rs 218200.
  • Whereas such employees who come under Level 14, it is possible to get the amount of arrears ranging from Rs 182200 to Rs 224100.

Mode of Payment of DA/DR Arrears 2024

Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief Allowance can be paid by the government using the following methods –

  • First of all, the proposal for DA/DR arrears will be prepared by the Finance Ministry.
  • When the proposal is ready, it will be sent to the Cabinet for approval.
  • If the cabinet approves it, then the process of allocating budget to complete this work will be done.
  • After this, instructions will be sent to all the concerned departments for payment to the employees and pensioners.
  • In the last phase, the arrear amount will be sent to the bank accounts of employees and pensioners.

The government is currently considering how to pay the arrears amount. Some important possible options under this can be as follows –

  • It is possible that the government will send the DA and DR money together to the account.
  • It is also possible that the arrear amount may not be paid all at once but may be divided into installments.
