Reserve Bank of India (RBI) conducts the recruitment process for eligible candidates for General, DEPR and DSIM posts through RBI Grade B Officer Examination. RBI Grade B Eligibility Criteria 2025

It is important to fulfill the basic eligibility criteria before filling the application form for RBI Grade B posts. If any candidate is found to have provided incorrect information regarding his/her age or qualification in his/her online registration form then his/her application will be rejected outright and no further chance will be given to that particular candidate till the next year’s recruitment. RBI Grade B Age Limit 2025

Candidates who want to apply for various Candidates age for RBI Grade B posts should be at least 21 years and not more than 30 years That is, he should not have been born before 02 July 1995 and not after 01 July 2004. If the age of any candidate does not fall under this age group then he/she cannot apply for the respective posts.

RBI Grade B Age Relaxation

Special reserved categories get relaxation of a few years in the upper age limit by the government for RBI Grade B Officer Exam. candidates who are Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe category gets age relaxation of 5 years.

RBI Grade B Educational Qualification 2025

There are some basic educational qualifications that candidates must fulfill before filling the application form for various posts under RBI Grade B Officer. The educational qualifications for General, DSIM and DEPR posts are different and are given below.

DSIM Master’s degree with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in all semesters in any of the following fields: Mathematical Statistics, Statistical Economics, Econometrics, Statistics and Informatics from IIT Kharagpur; Or Applied Statistics and Informatics from IIT Bombay.
Or
One-year Post Graduate Diploma in Statistics or similar fields from a reputed institute, and Master’s Degree in Mathematics with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate in all semesters or years.
Or
M.Stat from the Indian Statistical Institute. Degree with minimum 55% in aggregate in all semesters and years.
Or
Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) is jointly offered by ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in the aggregate of all semesters/years.
General Graduation/equivalent technical or professional qualification in any discipline with minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PWBD applicants) or Post Graduation/equivalent technical qualification with minimum 55% marks (passing marks for SC/ST). /PwBD applicants) in aggregate of all semesters/years.
Comment: Any full-time course from a recognized University/Institution pursued after class 12th and of minimum 3 years duration/Candidates possessing professional and technical qualifications recognized by the Government as equivalent to professional and technical graduation will be eligible for admission. For examination. Candidates who have qualified the final examination for membership in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India can also apply for this post.
Or
A
A full-time course pursued after graduation from a recognized University/Institute and of minimum 2 years duration/recognized as equivalent to Post-Graduation by the Government will be eligible for admission to the examination.
DEPR Master’s degree in Economics/Econometrics/Quantitative Economics/Mathematical Economics/Integrated Economics course/Finance with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years from a recognized Indian or Foreign University/Institute.
Or
PGDM/MBA Finance with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years from a recognized Indian or Foreign University/Institute.
Or
Master’s degree in Economics in any sub-category of Economics i.e. Agriculture/Business/Developmental/Applied etc. with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in the aggregate of all semesters/years from a recognized Indian or Foreign University. /institution
And
Candidates possessing Master’s degree with research/teaching experience from a recognized Indian/Foreign University/Institute will be eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit up to a maximum of three years to the extent of number of years of such experience. The probationary period will not count towards experience.

RBI Grade B Nationality 2025

Reserve Bank of India has specified that candidates belonging to certain nationalities are only eligible to apply for General, DEPR and DSIM Grade B posts. Eligibility requirements based on nationality are given below.

  • Must be a citizen of India
  • should be a topic of nepal
  • should be the subject of bhutan
  • The candidate must be a Tibetan refugee who has entered India before January 1, 1962 and who intends to reside there permanently.
  • A person of Indian origin who has come to India for permanent settlement from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam, all of which are in East Africa (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar). ,
