Indian Railways has taken a new initiative keeping in mind the convenience of passengers. Now from 12 February 2025, 8 new trains will be run by IRCTC without reservation. IRCTC i.e. Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation has started this service, in which passengers can travel without reservation. These trains will have general and chair car coaches, designed to place more passengers.
Passengers have to use the station counter or UTS app to buy tickets. This service is especially for those who want to travel suddenly or who do not get reservation on time.
