- BE/B.Tech/B.Sc. The degree of engineering in electronics, mechanical, computer science, or mechanics from a recognized university with a pass class.
- Relevant post-abusivity minimum 2 years of industrial experience.

- Trainee Engineer-I: Maximum 28 years as 01.01.2025.
- Project Engineer-I: Maximum 32 years as 01.01.2025.
- Age discount: OBC – 3 years, SC/ST – 5 years, PWBD – 10 years (additional rest for reserved categories).

- Trainee Engineer-I:
- 1 year – ₹ 30,000 per month
- Second year – ₹ 35,000 per month
