The recent Librarian Grade-II Recruitment Examination conducted by Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) left many candidates who were suffering from unexpected and challenging questions from Rajasthan General Knowledge (GK) section. Rajasthan GK questions confused candidates

Many candidates found these questions difficult, as they needed knowledge deeply beyond normal textbooks. The exam pattern included 100 multi-friendly questions (MCQs), which cost 200 marks, in which negative marking cut one-third of the points for the wrong answer. This made the exam even more challenging, as the candidates had to be additional while replying. Some of the questions surprising to the candidates included the topics:
- Penetrate
- Iki Endanon
- Kriya Bai
- Khalkani Mata Gatha Mela
- Secondary principle
- Ranganathan’s three-face system
- Theory-X and Theory-Y
Will Rit candidates face the same GK challenge?
Reit candidates are now concerned about whether Rajasthan GK questions will also be included in their exam. While RIT is mainly focused on child development, education, language and subject-specific knowledge, This year BSER introduced the Rajasthan GK, Language and Literature, and contemporary child welfare educational schemes of Rajasthan, because some of the newly added topics in the Reat Syllabus 2025 for Paper I and IITherefore, there is a possibility that REET candidates will have to focus their focus on these newly added topics, as well as with the main subjects which are already present. However, there is no negative marking plan in the REIT exam 2025 so that the candidates can take some rest.
Is the revision in the Rit syllabus a new pain point for the candidates?
Yes, as the Rajasthan Librarian Grade II exam 2025 clearly testifies to the Government of Rajasthan and this is the examination to conduct bodies on Rajasthan GK. This change shows that they aim To test the knowledge of candidates of the history, culture and geography of the stateTherefore, Rit aspirants should be designed for unexpected and intensive questions that are beyond standard textbooks.
