Isro yuvika 2025: Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is ready to announce the first selection list for “Youth Scientific Program”-Youth Vigini Kayakaram (Yuvika) 2025 today, 7 April, 2025. This much -awaited list will reveal the names of students selected for this prestigious program, designed to provide foundational exposure for space science and technology.
The purpose of Yuvika initiative is to motivate the young minds to detect a career path in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
What isro Yuvika?
Yuvika, also known as a “Youth Scientist Program”, is an educational initiative by ISRO targeted ISRO on school students in India. The program wants to “catch young” by imparting knowledge about space science, technology and applications. The program is open to students studying in class 9 by January 1, 2025, and aims to create awareness about India’s progress in space research.
Selected students will participate in a two -week residential summer training program from May 19 to May 30, 2025. This immersive experience will include interaction with top scientists, uses on hand, sky gauzing, robot programming, convenience travel and class sessions on space technology and its applications.

How to check Yuvika 2025 1 selection list?
Students registered for Yuvika 2025 can check the first selection list on the official website jigyasa.iirs.gov.in/yuvikaTo reach the list, applicants must do:
- Visit the official isro yuvika portal.
- Yuvika navigate on 2025 section.
- Log in using their registered credentials.
- Download or see the selection list.
Once released, the list will display the name or roll number of successful candidates. Selected people will need to confirm their participation within a specified time limit. If a student fails to confirm his seat, he can be allocated in a waiting list.
Selection criteria for Yuvika 2025
The selection process for Yuvika 2025 is based on several parameters, ensuring that a diverse group of students gets an opportunity to participate. Selection criteria include:
- Educational Performance (50%): The scars obtained in class 8 exam are given the highest weightage.
- Online quiz display (10%): Students were required to participate in an online space quiz as part of the selection process.
- Participation in science fairs (2-10%): In the last three years, achievements are considered at school, district, state or national level science fairs.
- Olympiad and equivalent rank (2-5%): Recognition in National or International Olympiad increases the opportunities of a candidate.
- Sports achievements (2-5%): Schools, district, state or national level sports competitions contribute to medals or rank selections.
- Scouts & Guides, NCC, NSS Membership (5%): Participation in these co-text activities earns additional marks.
- Study in rural schools (15%): Special preference is given to students from rural areas to ensure widespread-based participation from various socio-economic backgrounds.
Program location and facilities
Yuvika 2025 Program will be held at seven prestigious ISRO centers across India:
- Indian Remote Sensing (IIRS), Dehradun
- Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC), Thiruvananthapuram
- Satish Dhawan Space Center (SDSC), Sriharikota
- Ur Rao Satellite Center (URSC), Bangalore
- Space Application Center (SAC), Ahmedabad
- National Remote Sensing Center (NRSC), Hyderabad
- North-Eastern Space Application Center (NE-SAC), Shillong
All expenses, including housing, food and educational materials, will be covered by ISRO. Additionally, travel expenses for selected students will be reimbursed according to ISRO’s guidelines. Maximum reimbursement II AC train is limited to rent or equivalent bus fare (including Volvo buses authorized by the state government). Students have to submit the original travel ticket for reimbursement.
