SSC Je Detailed Selection Process 2025
The SSC JE selection process is conducted in several stages, which is conducted in several stages to assess the candidate’s technical skills, general qualifications and eligibility for junior engineer roles in civil, mechanical and electrical subjects. Step 1: Paper 1 (Computer-based test)
- Type: Objective
- Mode: Online (CBT)
- Subject: General Intelligence and Logic – 50 marks, General Awareness – 50 marks, General Engineering (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical) – 100 marks
- Duration: 2 hours
- Negative marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer
- Objective: Early shortlisting based on generalized score
Stage 2: Paper 2 (Descriptive Testing)
- Type: Traditional Written Examination
- Mode: Penn and Paper
- Subject: Based on engineering discipline selected by candidate
