On his birthday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched Subhadra Yojana in Odisha on 17 September 2024 with the aim of empowering women. More than 1 crore women aged 21 to 60 years! The objective of this scheme is to provide assistance to them! This scheme is in the name of Goddess Subhadra! Who is the sister of Lord Jagannath?
Jan Dhan bank accounts will help in making Subhadra Yojana successful! A total amount of Rs 50,000 will be given under this scheme to eligible women in five years, starting from the financial year 2024-25. Registration for this scheme has started from 1st September! The assistance amount will be transferred directly to the Aadhaar linked bank accounts of the beneficiaries under this scheme.
Which women are eligible for Subhadra Yojana?
- Economically weak women will get the benefit of this scheme!
- Women will not be eligible under this scheme. Who are women from rich families!
- Along with those women who are government employees and pay income tax! Those women will also not get the benefit of Subhadra Yojana!
When will the installments of Subhadra Yojana be released?
Every year this amount of Rs 10,000 will be given to women. Link their Aadhaar to bank accounts which will be transferred in 2 equal parts! This assistance amount of Rs 5,000 will be available in two installments on two major occasions in a year! The first installment will be given on Rakshabandhan and the second installment on International Women’s Day on 8 March!
