National Law University, Delhi (NLUD) is the conducting body of AILET 2025 entrance exam. All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is a national level entrance examination conducted every year. AILET exam is conducted for admission to BA LLB, LLM and PhD programmes. As per the official notification released by NLUD on May 27, 2024, AILET 2025 exam will be conducted on December 8, 2024. NLU Delhi begins AILET 2025 registration on August 1, 2024, on the official AILET portal, nationallawuniversitydelhi.in.
To register for the exam, candidates need to create a candidate login account by providing basic details like name, email address and mobile number. After completing the registration, they have to log in again and fill the AILET 2025 application form. Eligible candidates will be able to get admission in various offered courses by qualifying the entrance examination. AILET 2025 examination for admission to BA LLB, LLM and PhD courses offered by National Law University, Delhi will be conducted in pen-and-paper-based mode. AILET 2025 syllabus consists of three sections: Logical Reasoning, Current Affairs and General Knowledge.

eligibility criteria
Candidates can check the complete AILET 2025 eligibility criteria below:
For BALL.B. (Hons) Courses:
- Ability: Candidates must have completed class 12th level or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
- Mark: Candidates must obtain at least 45% marks for general and 40% marks for reserved category candidates in the qualifying examination.
- Age Criteria: No age limit criteria.
- appearance: Candidates appearing in class 12th in 2025 will also be eligible to apply for the entrance exam.
For LLM course:
- Ability: Candidates applying must have passed LLB or equivalent graduate degree from a recognized university.
- Percentage: Candidates must obtain at least 50% marks for general category and 45% marks for reserved category (SC/ST and PH) candidates.
- Age Limit: There is no age limit to apply for the entrance exam.
- appearance: Candidates appearing in the final year of LLB will also be eligible to apply.
For PhD programme:
- Ability: Candidates who have completed LLM or equivalent law degree from a recognized university will be eligible to apply.
- Mark: Candidates must obtain at least 55% marks for General and 50% marks for SC/ST/PWD category candidates.
- Age Limit: No age limit criteria.
AILET 2025 Exam Pattern
Here is the complete All India Law Entrance Exam 2025 exam pattern to prepare well for the exam:
- Exam Mode: offline mode.
- Section: There will be 3 sections in the exam. Each section has different marks and questions.
- Types of questions: Multiple choice questions (MCQs) will be asked in the entrance examination. For LLM, there will be a descriptive section.
- Duration: 120 minutes.
- Total Questions: 150 questions for BA LLB (Hons) and 100 questions for LLM course.
- marking scheme: 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer.
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

To fill the application form for All India Law Entrance Test 2025 examination, candidates can use the following steps:
- Visit the official AILET portal nationallawuniversitydelhi.in,
- Click on the “Register” link and submit the following details: Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Mobile Number, Email ID, Religion and Category.
- Submit the OTP provided to you via email/SMS to complete the registration.
- Once you submit all the required details, you will successfully create your AILET Candidate Account.
- Fill the application form and upload the scanned copy of your signature and passport size photograph.
- Check all the details entered. If these details are correct, pay the application fee.
- Submit the form and download it as PDF for future reference.
AILET 2025 Admit Card
AILET 2025 Admit Card will be released by NLU Delhi in the last week of November. Candidates will be able to download the admit card with login details like application number and password from the website through online mode. It will be mandatory to carry a hard copy of the admit card to appear in the examination. Without valid hard copy of AILET 2025 Admit Card along with photo ID, candidates will not be allowed to sit inside the examination hall. Admit card contains important details like name, exam name, time, date, venue, photograph, signature etc.
