Candidates interested to apply for Bihar Teacher Recruitment issued by Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) must have complete information about qualification. The most important qualification for candidates to participate in this recruitment process is that they should be a permanent resident of Bihar state. Along with this, there will be different qualifications for teachers of primary, secondary and higher secondary schools.

Eligibility for Primary Teacher (Class 1-5)

1. Postgraduate with minimum 55% marks or its equivalent grade and three -year integrated B.D.
2. Bionship diploma in higher secondary and elementary education with minimum 45% marks, which has been obtained according to the National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition. Criteria and Activity) Regulations 2002. Or
3. Higher secondary with minimum 50% marks in Higher Secondary and Education (Special Education)
4. A two -year diploma in higher secondary and elementary education with minimum 50% marks or
5. Bobia Diploma in Graduate and Elementary Education. Or
6. Bachelor of Graduate and Education with 50% marks (B.D.) or
7. Higher secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and 4 -year -old Graduate in Elementary Education (BLD) I.
8. BTET Paper-1 Exam Passed.

Eligibility for TGT Teacher (Class 09-10)

1. Graduate / Master Degree in the relevant subject with minimum 50% marks and B.D.Ed. Degree of
2. Graduate / Master Degree in the relevant subject with minimum 45% marks (as per 2002 criteria) and B.Ed. or
3. 04 years degree in Baed / BSCED.
4. Stet Paper -I pass passed.

Eligibility for PGT Teacher (Class 11-12)

1. Graduate / Master Degree in the relevant subject with minimum 50% marks and B.D.Ed. Degree of
2. Bachelor / Master Degree in the respective subject with minimum 45% marks (as per 2002 criteria) and B.Ed.
3. Master’s degree in the relevant subject with a 4 -year degree in BAED / BSED or
4. Master’s degree with minimum 55% marks and B.Ed/ M.Ed 03 years degree.
5. STET Paper II Exam Passed.
