- To pass in each subject of CAIIB it is necessary to obtain minimum 50 marks out of 100.
- Candidates who obtain minimum 45 marks in each subject and 50% marks in aggregate in a single attempt will also be considered successfully qualified for the examination.
- The credit for the subjects passed by the candidates will be valid till the expiry of the time limit specified below for passing the examination.
How many attempts are allowed for CAIIB exam?
Indian Institute of Banking and Finance has specified the deadline to qualify the CAIIB 2024 exam which is discussed below.
- Candidates registering for the CAIIB exam will have a maximum of three years to complete the exam or five attempts, whichever comes first. It is not necessary that the five attempts be consecutive.
- Candidates who are unable to qualify the examination within the maximum time limit of three years or five attempts, whichever is earlier, will have to re-register for the examination. Previous credits of any passed subject will not be carried forward.
- The time limit of three years or five attempts starts from the date of registration for the candidate’s first attempt. The attempts will be counted whether the candidate appears in the examination or not.
- These rules mean that a candidate can apply for any five of the six examinations usually held within a period of three years. If a candidate exhausts all five attempts before the expiry of three years, he/she will have to register again. Similarly, if a candidate does not utilize all the five attempts but exceeds the three-year time limit, he or she will have to register again.
