CERC Recruitment 2025 – Vacancy Details

  • Post: Advisor (Eng.)
  • Number of Vacancies: 1
  • Place: Central Electricity Regulatory Commission, New Delhi
  • Type of engagement: Constant
  • Duration: Initially for 2 years (expansion up to a maximum of 4 years on the basis of performance)
  • Age limit: Less than 62 years (not exceeding 65 years)

eligibility criteria

Educational qualification:

Candidates should have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering from a reputed institute or university.

Experience:

  • Experience to work for minimum 10 to 15 years in the power sector.
  • There should be intensive knowledge of the regulatory structure in the power sector of India.

Salary and Benefits for CERC Recruitment 2025

  • Monthly remuneration: ₹ 2,50,000 per month (except the applicable taxes).
  • Work hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 am – 6:00 pm.
  • Quit entitled: 15 days per year (not enacted or extended further).
  • Travel allowance:
    • Air by air: economy class
    • By train: AC II Tier
    • Local Travel: Non-AC taxi

Selection process for CERC recruitment 2025
  1. Screening and shortlisting: Based on the educational background, experience and knowledge of electric rules.
  2. Evaluation by Consultation Assessment Committee (CEC): Shortlisted candidates will be scored on a set of evaluation criteria.
  3. Final selection: The top three scorers will be presented to the chairperson, CERC, which will take a final decision.
