CGPSC Professor Application Fee
The application fee for CGPSC Professor Recruitment 2024 is Rs 400 for General and OBC candidates, while SC/ST candidates of Chhattisgarh will have to pay Rs 300. Chhattisgarh Professor Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for CGPSC Professor Recruitment 2024 are:
- Educational qualification:
- Candidates must possess PhD degree in the concerned or allied/relevant subject.
- Candidates must have at least 10 publications in the form of books and/or peer-reviewed research/policy papers or journals listed by the University Grants Commission (UGC), along with a minimum of 120 research marks.
- Age Limit: The age of the candidate should not be less than 31 years as on 1st January 2021. The maximum age limit is 56 years, but the maximum age limit can be increased to 61 years after considering various age relaxations for direct recruitment. Local residents of Chhattisgarh may be given additional age relaxation as per the instructions of the General Administration Department.
CGPSC Faculty Selection Process
The CGPSC faculty selection process comprises two stages: an exam and an interview. This 300-mark exam consists of 150 objective-type questions, divided into two sections: Chhattisgarh General Studies (50 questions for 100 marks) and Subject-Related Topics (100 questions for 200 marks). Candidates must score at least 33% marks in each paper, while SC/ST/OBC candidates need 23% marks to pass. Candidates who clear the exam proceed to the interview, which carries 30 marks. There is no minimum mark required for the interview, and the final selection is based on the combined marks of both the exam and the interview, which are ranked according to merit and category.
Written Exam
The first stage consists of a comprehensive CGPSC Professor exam consisting of a single objective-type question paper. The total number of questions in the exam is 150, and the total score is 300 marks. Each question will have four possible answers (A, B, C, and D), and candidates have to choose the correct or closest correct answer. To pass, candidates must score at least 33 percent marks in each section of the exam. For SC/ST/OBC candidates, the qualifying marks have been fixed at 23 percent.

Interview
The second stage is the interview, which carries 30 marks. There are no minimum qualifying marks for the interview stage. Approximately three times the number of vacancies advertised will be invited for the interview. Only those candidates who qualify the examination will be eligible to appear for the interview.

Professor salary in CGPSC is based on Pay Matrix Level 14 as per government norms. The estimated salary of CGPSC Professor ranges from Rs.1,44,200 to Rs.2,18,200 per month, along with additional allowances like DA (Dearness Allowance), HRA (House Rent Allowance) and other benefits as per Chhattisgarh Government rules.
