How to Apply Online for CSIR NET Application Form 2024?
Follow the steps given below to successfully apply for CSIR NET December 2024:
- Visit the official website https://csirnet.nta.ac.in.
- Register using a valid email ID and mobile number.
- Note the system-generated application number.
- Fill all the required fields including personal details, educational qualification and examination center preferences.
- Upload the required documents.
- Pay the required fee through net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI.
- Retain proof of payment for future reference.
- After successful payment, download the confirmation page and print it for future reference.

- Upload scanned images using the following sizes:
- Recent Photograph: JPG Format (10 KB – 200 KB)
- Signature: JPG Format (4 KB – 30 KB)
- Duly Verified Result Awaited Verification Form (50KB to 500KB)

CSIR NET Eligibility Criteria
As per CSIR NET eligibility criteria for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor posts, candidates must have Master’s degree in relevant subject with minimum 55% marks (50% for reserved categories). JRF applicants must be below 30 years of age as of February 2025, with age relaxation for certain categories including OBC-NCL, SC/ST, PWD, Third Gender and women candidates. There is no upper age limit for Assistant Professor candidates. Only Indian citizens are eligible, however foreign candidates can also apply if they meet the criteria.

CSIR NET application fee varies depending on the category of the candidate. Candidates can pay the fee using various methods like Debit/Credit Card, UPI or Internet Banking. PwD candidates are exempted from application fee. The fee structure is as follows:

- JRF (Junior Research Fellowship):
- Maximum Age: 30 years as on 1 February 2025.
- Age relaxation of 5 years for OBC-NCL, SC/ST, PWD, Third Gender and Female candidates.
- Additional relaxation up to 5 years is provided for research experience, armed forces service, or other relevant conditions.
- Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit to apply for Assistant Professor category in CSIR NET.
- Admission to PhD: There is no upper age limit for applying to PhD. program through CSIR NET examination.
