CSIR NET Eligibility Required Educational Qualifications

- Eligibility: Indian citizens possessing Master’s degree in relevant scientific field from a recognized University/Institute (minimum 55% marks for General/Unreserved/EWS category candidates). OR Students in final year of Bachelor’s degree in relevant scientific field from a recognized University/Institute (minimum 75% marks, grading system applies).

- Qualification Result: A candidate qualifying with Master’s degree is eligible for PhD as well as Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship (Assistant Professor) positions. - Important Note: Qualifying with a four-year undergraduate degree does not make a candidate eligible for Assistant Professor posts.

CSIR NET Eligibility Criteria Age Limit and Nationality

CSIR NET JRF Age Limit
- Maximum Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years as on the 1st day of the month in which the examination ends i.e. June, 2024.
- Candidates belonging to reserved categories like (SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities/Third Gender and Female applicants) may be given relaxation in upper age limit up to 5 years and OBC – Non-Creamy Layer candidates) can be given relaxation in upper age limit up to 3 years.
