The CTET exam is a national eligibility test held twice in the months of December and July every year to determine the eligibility to teach in primary (1 to 5) and primary classes (6 to 8). For this year, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is going to conduct the 21st edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (July). Candidates who want to appear for the CTET July exam will have to submit their application form which will be released in April 2025 with a notification and after that, the CTET exam will be held in the month of July 2025.

As expected, the CTET 2025 exam for the July session can be held on 6 July 2025, however, the confirmation date will soon be announced on the official website https://cust.nic.in/. The CTET exam includes two papers, paper I will be held for candidates interested in teaching 1 to 5 teaching and Paper II will be held for those who want to teach 6 to 8 classes. Candidates should qualify for eligibility testing to apply for teaching examinations in central government schools like NVS, KVS etc. Offline mode will be conducted in two sessions in the CTET 2025 Examination Centers.

CTET exam date 2025 shift timing
The exam paper will be held in the morning and evening shift. Shift 1 will be held from 9:30 am to 12 noon and Shift 2 will be held in the evening session from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm.

CTET 2025 Exam Pattern
Paper I (Class I to V) include five subjects, child development and education, language 1, 2, mathematics and environmental studies, which have a total of 150 marks with 30 questions asked from each section.
Paper II (class VI to VIII) includes four subjects, child development and education, language II, II and related subjects. Candidates have to select a subject between mathematics, science and social studies. The relevant discipline has the highest weight of 60 digits while the other three sections carry each 30 marks.
