DSSSB PRT update: NDMC 115 confirms vacant PRT post

New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has officially confirmed 115 vacant primary teachers (PRT) posts in its schools in Delhi. NDMC confirmed PRT vacancies at the school, which is in the form of RTI’s response. This confirmation has created interest among the candidates waiting for recruitment through the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB). However, NDMC has to reveal the details of DSSSB PRT recruitment 2025 for 115 vacancies available so far. Let’s engage in details of this important update by NDMC on PRT vacancies.

NDMC 115 empty PRT posts confirms

Right to Information (RTI) request filed on 25 January 2025 (RTI registration number 5016), sought information about the number of vacant PRT posts in NDMC schools and whether requirements were sent to DSSSB. In response, NDMC confirmed that 115 primary teacher posts are currently vacant in their schools. The official response was released on 21 February 2025 by NDMC, Joint Director (Education Foundation) Manish Kumar.

RTI North further mentioned that Futuristic Quarry, such as NDMC will send requirements in the next 2-3 months, does not fall under the purview of the RTI Act.

NDMC will soon present the requirement to DSSSB

The NDMC has also confirmed that DSSSB has not been given any requirement about filling 115 PRT vacancies. However, the good news is that the presence of 115 vacant PRT posts indicates a strong possibility of the upcoming recruitment drive to be announced by DSSSB. Earlier, the Municipal Corporation’s Delhi Corporation (MCD) revealed that there are 1147 PRT vacancies under MCD schools, for which they have already submitted the need to DSSSB. The trends of previous recruitment suggest that once vacancies reach a significant number, the concerned officers begin the process of presenting the requirements to DSSSB, which then conducts the selection process.

Who is eligible for DSSSB PRT vacancies?

Candidates wishing to apply for the upcoming DSSSB PRT recruitment 2025 should ensure that they are eligible for the status of the primary teacher. Candidates will have to complete a deleded course of any equivalent course, with CTET certificate for Paper I. They must have a 12th standard pass of graduation to become eligible for posts. Aspires should remain updated with official information from NDMC and DSSSB for any announcement about the recruitment process. DSSSB PRT recruitment is a high anticipated event, and given the current vacancies, candidates are advised to start preparations in advance.

conclusion

The confirmation of 115 vacant PRT posts in NDMC schools presents interested opportunities for teachers. Although DSSSB has not been given any requirement yet, there is a strong hope that the DSSSB PRT recruitment 2025 process will begin soon. Candidates should monitor the official updates from NDMC and DSSSB for further developments. This latest RTI response serves as an important insight into the upcoming recruitment scenario for primary teachers in Delhi.
