Free gas chulha scheme: There are many poor people in our country who still cook food on the stove. The smoke coming out of the stove can cause many diseases. The name of this scheme is Free Gas Chulha Yojana. Under this scheme, free gas stove connections will be provided to poor families.
The scheme was started in the year 2016
Generally speaking, the prices of gas cylinders are very high. It is very expensive so not everyone can buy gas cylinder. Keeping this in mind, a scheme has been started by the government for poor class women. Under this scheme, free gas cylinders are provided to women. Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana was started by the Prime Minister of our country Shri Narendra Modi on 1 May 2016. This scheme is being operated by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
Gas cylinder is given for free
PM Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) is being run by the government, through which LPG connections are provided to all the poor families and ration card holding women of the country. The aim behind this scheme is to free women from wood and coal stoves and make the environment pollution free. This benefit of gas cylinder is given free of cost to all the beneficiaries. Under this scheme, gas cylinders are made available to poor class families.
Necessary eligibility to avail the benefits of the scheme
- Only women can apply for Ujjwala scheme.
- The age of applicant women should be minimum 18 years.
- The applicant should belong to BPL family.
- Women who already have LPG connection will not be eligible to apply for this scheme.
- It is mandatory for the woman applying to have a bank account.

How to apply for free gas stove scheme
- To apply for Free Gas Chulha Yojana, you have to go to your nearest gas agency or apply for Ujjwala Yojana. official website Form will have to be obtained from.

- After this the home page of the website will open in front of you.
- On the home page you will see the option of download form, you will have to download the form from there.
- Now you will have to click on the download option and take a print out of the application form.
