How to balance work and RBI Grade B preparation?

Working candidates find it difficult to manage time due to their work responsibilities. In this article, we have discussed some tips for managing work and preparing for RBI Grade B exam. Candidates who work with continuous effort, hard work and dedication can also be successful in this examination. It is challenging but achievable. So here are some suggestions for this:-

Understand the exam pattern and syllabus

Know the exam structure and pattern. RBI Grade B exam consists of three stages:

phase 1: General Awareness, English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning and Data Interpretation.

phase 2: Economic and Social Issues, English (Descriptive), and Finance and Management.

step 3: Interview

Familiarize yourself with the detailed syllabus and analyze your weak areas. Focus more on subjects that require more effort.

Create a realistic timetable

Start by calculating how much time you can devote to studying after work. Try to dedicate at least 2-4 hours daily. This could be as little as an hour in the morning and a few hours in the evening. Make the most of weekends and weekdays. As we say in Hindi “To get something you have to lose something”. So you have to leave some leisure activities during your week off and use that time for intensive study sessions.

make good use of time

As you know time waits for no one or lost time can never be brought back and since you have limited time available, you have to use it efficiently. Use your office breaks to read newspapers, revise notes and practice some questions.

If your work commute is long then you can use this time to listen to podcasts related to current affairs, finance or economic issues. You can also complete the recorded session of your online class.

JobNews app offers daily quizzes and updates on financial news, which you can watch during your free time.

join a study group

Join an online discussion and study group where you can share resources and clear your doubts. Interacting with other people who are also preparing for the exam can help you stay on track and keep you motivated. You can also learn and share strategies with each other.

take care of your health

Health is very important. Do any kind of physical activity so that you stay in good shape. You should also meditate and keep your life stress free. Maintain a balanced diet. Do not eat junk food as it can make you unhealthy which will ultimately affect your preparation.

monitor your progress

Regularly evaluate your progress and try to identify whether you are meeting your goals or need to adjust your study approach. Give mock tests every week to check your preparation level and time management.

be consistent

Consistency is important to pass any exam. Even if you can only dedicate a little time each day, it will eventually add up to a lot and you will definitely achieve your dream!
