To be eligible for HPPSC Environment Officer Posts, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:
Educational qualification,
- Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or Botany or
- Master’s degree in Technology (M.Tech.) in Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
work experience,
Minimum 5 years of work experience after completing M.Sc./M.Tech. In areas like:
- Environmental project/programme formulation and implementation.
- Feasibility Report for Environmental Management.
- Conducting environmental monitoring and survey studies.
- Research and development in climate change and conservation.

Selection Process for HPPSC Recruitment 2024
Selection for the post of Environment Officer will be in two stages:
screening tests: It will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT) or offline examination consisting of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) in two parts:
- General Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh: 30 Marks
- General Knowledge of National and International Affairs: 30 Marks
- Knowledge of Hindi and English: 20 marks each.
