IBPS Clerk Selection Process 2024

To get recruited on IBPS Clerk post, applicants have to go through the following steps.

  • pre exam
  • mains exam
  • final merit list

To pass the IBPS Clerk exam, candidates will first have to pass the pre-multiple choice exam in which questions are asked from English, Reasoning and Mathematics subjects. Candidates who pass the written exam will be considered eligible for the mains exam.

  • In the Mains exam, questions related to General Awareness/Financial Awareness, Mathematics, English, Reasoning and Computer subjects will be asked.
  • Only multiple choice type questions will be asked in Prelims and Mains examination.
  • Prelims exam will be of 100 marks.
  • Mains exam will be of 200 marks.
  • There is a minus marking of 1/4 marks in this exam.
  • The pre-examination will be of passing type.
  • Time available for pre-examination is 60 minutes.
  • Time available for mains exam is 160 minutes.
