Indira Gandhi smartphone scheme: The Rajasthan government has launched a new scheme to empower the women of the state. The name of this scheme launched to educate women digitally is Indira Gandhi Smartphone Scheme 2024. Under this scheme, women and daughters of Rajasthan will be given smartphones for free.
New scheme started in Rajasthan
The goal of this scheme announced during the budget of the Chief Minister is to provide smartphones with internet access to the women head of the house. The scheme was started on 10 August 2023. The goal of this scheme is to benefit 9th to 12th grade and college girls as well as women from Chiranjeevi families. The eligible women and daughters of Rajasthan will be eligible to apply to get free smartphones and take advantage of this program.
Women will be able to become self -sufficient
Under this scheme, getting free phones will help girls learn online and girls coming from far away will make them feel safe with mobile access. This is a perfect decision even in view of their safety. Free internet will be provided with every phone for 3 years. The government will set up camps in a phased manner to distribute the phone. With this, they will be able to take advantage of government schemes and manage their banking independently. Through free smartphones, women and students will be able to become self -sufficient and strong.
Eligibility required for plan
- To avail the free smartphone scheme, the applicant should be a native of the state of Rajasthan.
- Only women and women of Rajasthan are eligible for this scheme.
- Under this scheme, the female head of the Chiranjeev family will be given benefits.
- Girls from class 9th to 12th and college and higher education women can get smartphones.
- Pension -taking widows or single women and women heads of family who have completed 100 days work under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme can also participate in this scheme.
