In this scheme, financial assistance of up to 51 thousand rupees is provided by the government for the marriage of girls. This amount is directly transferred to the beneficiary’s account, that is, the beneficiary is given direct benefit of the scheme.
Benefits under the scheme
Under this scheme, the government provides assistance to such families who cannot bear the expenses of marriage of their daughters. The state government provides assistance to qualified girls from Rs 31000 to Rs 41000 at the time of their marriage. If the girls pass 10th, then the government will give them Rs 41000 at the time of their marriage, but if the daughter passes graduation, then the government provides financial assistance of Rs 51000 on their marriage.
Eligibility required to take advantage of Chief Minister Kanyadan Yojana
Under the Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana, BPL families of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Minority Classes, BPL families of the remaining classes, Antyodaya families, faith card holder, economically weak widowed women, girls of special qualified persons, girls benefited in the Palanhar Yojana are eligible for the marriage of girls and women players themselves. The benefit of this scheme will be given only to the original residents of Rajasthan state.
To take advantage of this scheme, the age of the candidate should be 18 years or more and the benefit of this scheme will be applicable only for the marriage of 2 girls. To take advantage of this scheme, the annual income of the family should be less than Rs 2.50 lakh.
