In this budget of 2024, the government has also announced about the Mukhyamantri Mangala Pashu Yojana. The government has taken forward the Kamdhenu Insurance Scheme of the previous government in which the government had announced Rs 40 thousand per animal, through this scheme it has been taken forward.

Insurance assistance will be given for cow, buffalo and camel

State Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari announced the launch of this scheme in the House during the budget announcement. Diya Kumari informed that under this scheme, insurance assistance of Rs 5 lakh each will be provided for milch cow and buffalo and Rs 1 lakh for camel. CM Mangala Animal Insurance Scheme Animal farmers will benefit greatly from this. The Deputy Chief Minister also focused on the mission of camel conservation and development through the Animal Insurance Scheme. The government has also said to implement Agro Processing Policy 2024 for investment in agriculture sector.

In this scheme, the government has set a target of insuring 21 lakh animals by spending Rs 400 crore. Under this scheme, insurance of Rs 5 lakh each will be provided for milch cow or buffalo.The government has set the objective of insuring 5 lakh sheep, goats and 1 lakh camels in the first phase of this scheme. The benefit of this scheme will not be given if poisonous grass or substance is consumed.
