5 new orders of PM Kisan Yojana
Recently, the government has issued five important orders regarding PM Kisan Yojana. These orders bring some changes in the implementation of the scheme and the selection process of beneficiaries. Let us understand these commands in detail:
1. Aadhar Card Mandatory
The first order pertains to the mandatory requirement of Aadhaar card for the scheme. Now, it has been made mandatory for all beneficiaries to update their Aadhar card on PM Kisan portal. This step has been taken to bring transparency in the scheme and prevent fake beneficiaries.
- Last date to update Aadhaar card: March 31, 2025
- Installment of beneficiaries who do not update may be stopped
- Aadhaar verification process will be done online
2. e-KYC mandatory
The second order pertains to making the e-KYC (Electronic Know Your Customer) process mandatory. All beneficiaries will have to get their e-KYC done, so that their identity and eligibility can be confirmed.

- Biometric verification will also be a part of e-KYC
- Installment of beneficiaries who do not get e-KYC done may be stopped
3. Digitization of land records
The third order pertains to digitization of land records of farmers. Under this process, all states will have to convert their land records into digital format and link them to the central database.

- Digital records will make it easier to check eligibility of beneficiaries
- This step will help prevent fake claims
4. Linkage to Kisan Credit Card
The fourth order is to link PM Kisan Yojana with Kisan Credit Card (KCC). This step will provide additional financial benefits to farmers and increase their credit access.
- KCC will be issued to all PM Kisan beneficiaries
- Farmers will be able to get loans at low interest rates through KCC.
- This process is to be completed by December 31, 2025
5. Special provision for women farmers
The fifth order relates to making special provisions for women farmers. Under this order, women farmers will be given priority in the scheme and some additional benefits will also be provided for them.

- Women farmers will be included in financial literacy programs
- Women self-help groups will be linked to the scheme
