The name of the scheme was changed in the year 2015

Earlier this scheme was known as Indira Gandhi Awas Yojana. The scheme was started in the year 1985. In the year 2015, the name of this scheme was changed and it was made by the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Everyone wants him to have his own pucca house. Financial assistance is given to build a pucca house
Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, financial assistance of 1,30,000 is provided to the homeless families to build pucca houses. Any beneficiary who wants to give benefits under this scheme has to apply in the first scheme. After this, a list of beneficiaries is released. Necessary eligibility under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana
- You should not have a firm house to take advantage of this scheme.
- Families belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and minority classes of society can apply in this scheme.
- The limit of Kisan Credit Card (KCC) should be less than Rs 50,000.
- No family member should be in a government job.
- The income of the family per month should not exceed Rs 10,000.
- The family should include spouses and unmarried children.
- Applicant or their family members are not taxpayers.
- The applicant should not have two -wheelers, three -wheelers or four wheelers.
- The applicant should not have a refrigerator or landline in the house.

Documents required to apply in the scheme
- Identity certificate
- Aadhar card
- Voter ID
- Bank account details
- Swachh Bharat Mission Registration Number
- Job card number (registered under MNREGA)
- An affidavit that says that you (or your family members) do not have a firm house.
How to apply under the scheme
- To apply in Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana, first of all you official website will go on.
- Now here you have to enter the required details.
- Now you have to enter your Aadhaar card number and click on the ‘Search’ button to find the name of the beneficiary.
- After getting your name, you have to click on ‘Select to Register’.
- Now you have to verify your filled details and include the remaining details.
- Now you have to enter your consent form, bank account details, MNREGA number and Swachh Bharat Mission Number.
- Thus your registration number will be generated.
