Pre Matric Scholarship Schemes
At present, many scholarship schemes are being run by the government for all categories of students. Eligible students can apply for these scholarship schemes run by the government for students and get financial assistance for their education. The scheme named Pre Matric Scholarship 2024 is run by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment for the OBC category to complete their studies in India.
Pre Matric Scholarship 2024 for OBC category is being operated by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. The main objective of starting this scheme by the government is to encourage the students of OBC category to apply for posts and to provide financial assistance. With this, students will be able to complete their studies without any interruption. In this scheme, the government will provide the benefit of this scheme to the students of OBC category families living below the poverty line.

The government will provide the benefit of Pre Matric Scholarship Scheme to the students studying in government schools. All OBC category students from class 1 to 10 can apply for this. Apart from this, if any student has relief in hostel then he will be provided scholarship amount from class 3 to 10. Scholarship amount will be provided only for a total of 10 months in an academic year.

Benefits of the scheme
If you are a day scholar, then you will be provided an amount of Rs 100/- per month from class 1 to 10 in Pre Matric Scholarship 2024. This grant amount will be payable for 10 months every year. Apart from this, if you are a hostler, you will be provided the benefit of this scheme from class 3 to 10. Hostellers will also be provided the benefit of scholarship amount during the academic month for 10 months every year. Hostellers will be provided financial assistance of Rs 500/- per month under this scheme.
If any student leaves his/her post midway then he/she will not be provided the benefit of this scheme. If a student takes admission late or leaves it midway, the scholarship amount will be provided to him only during the academic hours.

In Pre Matric Scholarship 2024, 30% scholarships have been reserved for girls by the government. Apart from this, scholarship has also been reserved for 5% disabled children. The remaining scholarship will be distributed to the students on the basis of eligibility criteria set by the government.
