Here let us tell you that the food department of the country has now changed many things available through ration card. For your information, let us tell you that from next year i.e. from January 1, 2025, there will be a change in the food items available through ration card.
Government has changed these rules regarding ration card
The government has now changed the ration available at lower prices under the National Food Security Act. For information, let us tell you that the ration you were getting earlier has now been changed.
For your information, let us tell you that earlier under the ration card, 3 kg rice and 2 kg wheat was given to the ration card holder. But now you will be given two and a half kilos of wheat along with two and a half kilos of rice. So in this way you will get half a kilo less rice.
The quantity of wheat has been increased and the quantity of rice has been reduced. But the way you used to get 5 kg ration earlier, you will get the same amount now. Here let us also tell you that the government gives 35 kg ration to those who have Antyodaya ration card.
Under Antyodaya Ration Card, 14 kg wheat along with 21 kg rice is given to poor people. But now the government has made some changes in this also. From now on, under Antyodaya Card you will get 18 kg rice and 17 kg wheat.
So in this way Antyodaya card holders will not get reduced quantity of ration, only rice has been reduced and wheat has been increased. This rule has been implemented for Antyodaya ration card holders from November 1.
Ration card holders will have to get e-KYC done before January 1
The Food Department of the country has issued this information for all ration card holders that it is necessary for everyone to get e-KYC done. Thus, those who have ration cards are required to complete e-KYC before January 1.
Please be informed that those ration card holders who do not get this done, their ration card will be canceled by the department. Although the government had earlier set the date for this as October 1, 2024, but it was then extended till November 1.
But after this, the government has now extended this deadline till December 1. Therefore, all ration card holders are now required to get their ration card KYC done before January 1 next year. If you do not get this done, then neither will you get ration at a lower price nor will you get any other facilities.
