RRB ALP Exam Date 2024, CBT 1 Exam Schedule & Admit Card to be released soon

All the candidates who applied for the RRB ALP Recruitment 2024 exam are eagerly waiting for the RRB ALP CBT 1 exam dates. The online application process was completed in February 2024. As expected, The RRB ALP CBT 1 exam will be conducted in September-October 2024 in multiple shifts, and the RRB ALP CBT 2 & CBAT exam will be held in November 2024. RRB ALP Exam Date 2024

RRB ALP is a national level exam conducted by RRB to recruit 18799 candidates for Assistant Loco Pilot posts for various railway zones across the country. The selection process for RRB ALP exam includes CBT 1, CBT 2, CBAT and Document Verification. Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced that candidates applying for RRB ALP exam must qualify with 100% marks. RRB ALP Exam Pattern 2024

The RRB ALP 2024 exam will go through multiple rounds of exams which are (1) CBT Stage- 1, (2) CBT Stage- 2 (Part A and Part B), (3) CBAT (Computer Based Aptitude Test) and (4) Document Verification.

CBT 1:

RRB ALP CBT 1 exam will be based on 75 questions of 75 marks on Mathematics, Mental Ability, General Science and General Awareness and the total time allotted for this exam is 60 minutes.

CBT 2:

The second stage of the RRB ALP CBT exam will have two parts, which are Part A and Part B. Part A will have questions from Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science, Basic Science and Engineering. A total of 100 questions will be asked for Part A with a time duration of 90 minutes while Part B will have questions from the relevant discipline/trade and will have 75 questions to be solved in 60 minutes. Part B will be qualifying only while the marks of Part A will decide the merit for the next stages of the selection process and will also be counted in the final selection.

CBAT:

Candidates equal to 8 times the ALP vacancies for each category will be shortlisted for the CBAT round based on their marks in Part A of the CBT 2 exam. The CBAT round will be in English and Hindi only and there will be no negative marking in this round. Marks for final selection will be calculated in the ratio of 70:30, where 70% marks will be calculated from Part A of the CBT 2 exam and 30% marks will be calculated from the CBAT exam.

RRB ALP 2024: Qualifying Marks

To pass the exam candidates have to obtain the minimum qualifying marks as prescribed by the exam authority. In the CBAT exam candidates have to obtain a minimum of 42 marks to pass the exam. The minimum passing percentage for CBT 1 and CBT 2 exam is as follows:

  • UR – 40 %
  • OBC – 30%
  • SC- 30%
  • ST- 25%
