IIT assistant professor’s salary in hand

The salary of Assistant Professor in IIT will start from pay level 10 as per 7th Pay Commission. With experience and published research, candidates can be appointed to the post of Assistant Professor in various academic units at pay level 12 with a minimum salary of Rs 1,01,500. The maximum salary of Senior Assistant Professor at the time of recruitment will be Rs 1,67,400. The new post of Assistant Professor will be eligible for promotion to pay level 13A1, which is Rs 1,31,400 – 2,04,700. This is possible after completing three years of service.
