SSC GD Physical Test 2024 Dates, PET PST Schedule and Requirements

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is responsible for conducting the SSC GD exam to recruit eligible candidates for 46617 vacancies of Constable posts for General Duty Constable in various Paramilitary forces like BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, AR and SSF. The written exam result has already been declared by the commission and the candidates qualified in the written exam are now waiting for the announcement of the exact SSC GD Physical dates. No official announcement has been made regarding the physical dates but IIt is expected that the SSC GG Physical Test will be conducted in October 2024. The physical test will consist of Physical Standard Test (PST) followed by Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

SSC GD Physical Test 2024

Central Reserve Police Force will conduct physical tests to assess the fitness of candidates for the job. All shortlisted candidates must appear for the PST and PET stage to proceed further. SSC GD Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) exams are conducted to test the physical fitness of male and female candidates. All the candidates who successfully clear all the selection stages of SSC GD will be appointed as General Duty Constables in Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) through this recruitment drive.

SSC GD Constable Physical Date 2024

As per the SSC GD Result, a total of 351176 candidates have been selected for the physical test, out of which 311736 are males and 39440 are females. ssc gd 2024 Constable PST and PET are expected to be scheduled in October 2024, so candidates are advised to start preparing for the physical efficiency test. SSC GD Physical Exam Date 2024 will be released soon on the official website http://www.crpf.gov.in. Admit card to the candidates selected for PST/PET will be issued by the nodal CAPF at http://www.crpf.gov.in. Candidates are advised to visit CRPF website regularly and stay connected for more details.

SSC GD Constable Physical Test 2024

SSC GD Physical Test ensures that the candidates are physically fit to be a part of the Indian Paramilitary Forces and includes several activities like height, weight and running. Both SSC Physical Efficiency Test and Physical Standard Test have different requirements for male and female candidates, the shortlisted candidates have to fulfill those requirements to pass the SSC GD Constable Physical Test 2024.

SSC GD Constable PST

The purpose of conducting the SSC GD Physical Standard Test is to check whether the candidates who have been shortlisted match the required physical requirements which include chest measurement, weight and height. For SSC GD Constable PST 2024, candidates must meet the physical requirements prescribed for male and female candidates. The height, weight and chest measurement of ex-servicemen will be taken for record purpose only, otherwise they will be exempted from the PST and PET stages. The weight should be in proportion to the height and age as per medical standards. The Physical Standard Test is of qualifying nature, candidates can check the physical measurements given below.

SSC GD Physical Requirements for Male Candidates

Male candidates belonging to General, SC and OBC categories must be at least 170 cms tall and have a minimum chest expansion of 5 cms and chest measurement without expansion should be 80 cms. The height and chest measurement for male candidates belonging to other categories is given below.

SSC GD PST for Female Candidates

In SSC GD physical standard test, Chest measurement of female candidates will not be takenThe height of female candidates of Scheduled Tribe should be 150 cm and the minimum height of female candidates of General and OBC category should be 157 cm.

SSC GD Constable PET

The commission will conduct the SSC GD Physical Efficiency Test 2024 after the completion of the PST exam. Candidates belonging to Ladakh or any other region will have to complete the race within the prescribed time limit for female and male candidates.

SSC GD Constable PET for Male Candidates

Male candidates from Ladakh region will have to complete the 1.6 Km race in 7 minutes and male candidates from other regions will have to complete the 5 Km race in 24 minutes.

SSC GD Constable PET for Female Candidates

SSC GD Medical Exam

All those candidates who are declared qualified in the PET/PST examination will be called for Detailed Medical Examination (DME)/Review Medical Examination (RME). The shortlisted candidates will have to undergo medical examinations conducted by the Medical Board set up by the CAPFs to evaluate their physical and medical fitness.

How to prepare for SSC GD Physical Test

Preparation for SSC GD Physical Test 2024 includes fitness routine, balanced diet, and mental preparation. To pass the physical exam, candidates must be physically fit and follow the below tips:

  • Make sure to take a walk every day. If you want to perform well, include physical activity in your daily routine.
  • Remember to complete all the activities mentioned in the guidelines before taking the exam.
  • Stay well hydrated, especially during workouts.
  • Make sure you get enough vitamins and minerals from a balanced diet, or consider supplements if necessary.
  • Eat a healthy diet full of fresh fruits and juices. Detox your body to get rid of harmful toxins and junk food.
  • Fuel your body by getting at least 8 to 10 hours of quality sleep each night.
  • Remember to incorporate rest days into your workout routine to avoid overtraining and reduce the risk of injury.
