TNUSRB SI Physical Testing 2025: PET and PST requirements


The Tamil Nadu Uniformed Service Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) issued a notification for the recruitment of 1299 vacancies for the posts of Deputy Editor. Interested candidates who have applied for recruitment will have to meet the TNUSRB SI Physical Testing Criteria for the year 2025. In this article, we shared detailed information about TNUSRB SI physical testing (PET and PST requirements, such as height, chest and ongoing events).

Tnusrb si physical test 2025

After qualifying in the written examination, candidates will have to appear for physical testing, including various parameters. The Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) will conduct a physical test in two stages, which is the Physical Measurement Test (PET) (PET) followed by Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and endurance test (ET). Only those candidates who pass PMT and PET will qualify for the post of sub-inspectors.

TNUSRB SI Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

TNUSRB SI Physical Measurement Test is qualifying in nature. Candidates should meet minimum physical standards, including height and chest measure (only for male candidates) and height measurements for women and transgender candidates.

Rounding from height and chest measurement:

Physical measurement (height/chest) will be scored up to 0.5 cm to manage the margin of error, as shown in the formula below.

The same procedure will be followed in chest measurement.
The same process will be followed for women candidates during height measurement.

Tnusrb si physical endurance test

All candidates should be presented in endurance tests, and this is the merit in nature. Only candidates who qualify in endurance testing will be eligible to participate in the Physical Efficiency Test.

TNUSRB SI Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Only candidates who qualify in physical measurement and physical endurance tests will be eligible for physical efficiency testing. The stomach takes a total of 15 marks in the TNUSRB SI exam. If the candidate fails in the PET event, zero marks will be given, they will be allowed to participate in the next program.

  • Male candidates will be given three opportunities in the rope climb, and it is mandatory to participate in it.
  • Three attempts will be given for long jump or high jump. The highest score for qualification will be considered.
  • Male candidates have only one chance for a 100 meter or 400 meter race.
