National Testing Agency (NTA) uploaded the UGC NET answer key 2024 on 07 September 2024 for the UGC NET June exam held from 21 to 23 August 2024. Along with the answer key, the commission has also released the question paper with recorded responses. All the candidates who appeared in the exam can check the answer key from the official website https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in/ using their application number and date of birth. Candidates can also raise objections against the provisional answer key by paying Rs 200 per question from 07 to 09 September 2024 (11:50 PM).

UGC-NET is a national level examination conducted twice every year (June and December) to determine the eligibility of Indian citizens for ‘Assistant Professor’ as well as ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor’ in Indian universities and colleges. The UGC-NET June 2024 exam was conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for 83 subjects in various cities across the country.
NTA UGC NET Answer Key 2024
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has successfully conducted the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET 2024) in CBT mode from 21st August to 04th September 2024. The exam consists of two papers- I and II. 150 multiple choice questions were asked for a total of 300 multiple choice questions. Candidates should note that 02 marks are awarded for each correct answer and there is no negative marking in UGC NET exam 2024.

Process to download UGC NET answer key and raise objection
For the convenience of the candidates and to make the download process easier, we have shared some steps that will help the candidates to download the UGC NET answer key 2024 from the official website. The steps to raise objections are also discussed here.
- Visit the official website of NTA https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
- Click on ‘Challenge Related to Answer Key’.
- Login with your application number and date of birth, enter your security pin and submit.
- Click on “View Question Paper” for marked responses and to view or challenge the answer key, click on “Click to View/Challenge Answer Key” link.
- You will see the question IDs in sequential order.
- The ID next to the question under the column ‘Correct option(s)’ indicates the correct answer key used by NTA. Deleted questions are highlighted and cannot be challenged.
- If you wish to challenge this option, you may use any one or more of the Option IDs given in the next four columns by clicking on the check box.
- After clicking on the option you want, scroll down, click ‘Save your claim’, and proceed to the next screen.
- All the Option IDs that you have challenged will be displayed in front of you.
- You can upload supporting documents, which you can upload by selecting ‘Choose File’ (all documents have to be put into a single PDF file).
- Click on ‘Secure your claim and pay the fee’ or if you wish to modify the claim, click on ‘Modify your claim’.
- After securing the claims, you will get a screen displaying your challenges.
- Please pay the fee by clicking on ‘Pay Fee’. The claims will be finally saved after successful payment of the requisite fee.
- Choose the mode of payment and pay the fee of Rs 200/- for each challenged question. Make the payment through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking.

UGC NET Answer Key 2024: Raise Objection
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has provided an opportunity to the candidates to raise objections against the provisional answer key. Candidates who are not satisfied with the answer key can submit their objections from 07 to 09 September 2024 (11:50 PM). Candidates have to submit their objections along with feedback within the stipulated time limit and pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 200/-. Challenges without justification/evidence will not be considered after the stipulated time period. Subject experts will examine all the challenges received from the candidates and after that the final answer key will be displayed.

UGC NET 2024: Marking Scheme
The UGC NET exam will be conducted in pen and paper mode. The exam will have two papers. Paper I will have 50 questions and Paper II will have 100 questions. With the help of UGC NET answer key and marking scheme, candidates can calculate the marks obtained in the exam.
- For each correct answer, candidates will be awarded 02 marks in both Paper 1 and 2.
- There is no negative marking for wrong answers in the UGC NET 2024 exam.
- No marks will be awarded for questions left unanswered/marked for review.
- If a question is found to be wrong/ambiguous during the main challenge, the candidate who solves that question and chooses one of the correct answers will be given credit. If a question is left unanswered, all candidates will be awarded marks.
UGC NET Exam 2024- Minimum Qualifying Marks
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has prescribed the minimum qualifying marks for the UGC NET exam 2024. General category candidates need to score a minimum of 40% marks in the UGC NET exam 2023, while candidates from other categories will need only 35%.
