What is UP Free Tablet and Mobile Scheme?
UP Free Tablet Smartphone Yojana 2025 is an ambitious scheme launched by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Under this, students are given free tablets and smartphones so that they can get education on digital platforms. To take advantage of the scheme, students have to meet the following eligibility parameters:
- The applicant should be a native of the state of Uttar Pradesh.

- Students scoring 75% or more marks in the main examination can apply.
- Only one student from a family can avail this scheme.
- No other member of the applicant family should be in a government job.
Application Process

- Enter the Aadhaar number, mobile number, and email ID.
- Complete EKYC process:
- Use the Aadhaar link mobile number to complete the EKYC process.
- Fill the application form:
- Upload the required documents like identity card, marksheet etc.

Distribution Process
The distribution process under this scheme will be as follows:
- A list of all beneficiaries will be prepared.
- The students included in the list will be informed through their college or university.
- The distribution process will be in a phased manner so that the maximum students get benefits.
Budget and target of the scheme
The UP government has set a budget of ₹ 4000 crore for this scheme. Under this:
- About 2.5 million smartphones and tablets will be distributed.
- The distribution process will last for five years.
- 3.75 lakh Samsung and Lava smartphones will be distributed in the first phase.
