West Bengal State Eligibility Test is a state level examination conducted by WBCSC for recruitment of Assistant Professors in various fields. Candidates should know that the WB SET hall ticket notification will be released on 20th November 2024, and the exams are scheduled to be held on 15th December 2024. Candidates have to select from the WB SET exam subject list of 33 subjects. The exam will be conducted in 2 sessions with a break of half an hour.

WB SET Exam Paper I Subject List

Candidates must compulsorily appear for Paper I followed by Paper II with a break of half an hour. Paper I is common for candidates with any subject. It assesses the general aptitude of the candidate with the WB SET exam subject list which is as follows: Reasoning Ability, Comprehension, Divergent Thinking and General Awareness. Paper I contributes to the third part of the examination, so candidates should ensure that their preparation should be accordingly. This section of the team is qualifying in nature but candidates must ensure that they also clear Paper I to secure their chances in this huge competitive examination.

WB SET Exam Paper II Subject List

WB SET Paper II is a subject-specific part of the examination. In this section the research aptitude of the candidate is examined which is relevant to their previous study subject which they choose from the WB SET Exam subject list. The syllabus of Paper II covers the topics which are in line with the candidates’ domain and the subject controlled by them. Language and Science subjects will be conducted in English language only.
