The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has announced the final result on IBPS Clerk, PO, and so on 01 April 2025. Candidates who have successfully approved all stages of the recruitment process have to ensure that they have all the necessary documents for document verification (DV) and joining. Failing to provide the necessary documents can lead to rejection of their candidature. It is important for candidates to be aware of the list of compulsory documents to avoid any final-minute quarrels and ensure the process of joining a smoothly.

Why are documents important for bank exam selection?

The recruitment process for bank examinations includes several stages, including prelims, mains, interviews (if applied), and document verification. Even after approving the exam with a good score, candidates may have to face disqualification if they fail to present valid documents. Banks verify these documents to ensure the authenticity of the candidate’s eligibility in the context of age, education, category, identity and other necessary criteria. Thus, it is as important to do the right paperwork as scoring well in the exam.

Mandatory documents required for bank exam

The final result for IBPS Clerk, PO, and 2025 is announced, and the next important step is the document verification and joining. In order to avoid rejection in the final phase, candidates should re -examine all the necessary documents. A minor mistake or missing document can delay or cancel your selection, so it is necessary to be fully prepared. Candidates should provide original documents with self-cut photocopies at the time of document verification or joining. A detailed list of required documents is given below:

1. Interview call letter and application form

A printed copy of the valid interview call paper issued by IBPS.

The system of online application form was presented at the time of registration at the time.

2. Proof of date of birth

Birth certificate issued by a competent authority.

Class 10 or SSC certificate is mentioned with the date of birth.

3. Valid photo identity proof

Any of the ID evidence issued by the following government:

  • Aadhaar card
  • Voter ID Card
  • PAN card
  • Passport
  • Driving license

4. Educational qualification certificate

Mark Sheet and Graduate Education or Degree Certificate of any equivalent qualification.

Proper documentation from the board/university confirming the declaration of results.

If applying under a specific category (such as a degree of agriculture or law officer for SO), relevant professional degrees and certificates should be presented.

5. Category certificate (if applied)

SC/ST/OBC Certificate issued by competent authority.

OBC candidates will have to provide a valid “non-slayer layer” certificate as per government norms.

EWS candidates need to submit the income and asset certificate issued by the nominated authority.

6. Disability Certificate (for PWD candidates)

Specifying the percentage of disability issued by the District Medical Board.

If a scribe was used during the examination, a properly filled scribe declaration form is also necessary.

7. Pre-service certificate (if applied)

Discharge book and a copy of the pension payment order.

A service certificate from the competent authority confirms the final rank.

8. Any objection certificate (for government/PSU employees)

Candidates working in government, PSU, or public sector banks will have to submit a no object certificate (NOC) from their current employer.

Without this document, the candidate will not be allowed to proceed with the process of joining.

9. Age rest certificate (if applied)

Candidates claiming age discounts due to the 1984 riot victims, J&K advocate persons, or any other special category will have to submit the relevant certificate issued by the District Magistrate or Competent Authority.

10. Experience Certificate (for special posts in IBPS SO/PO)

If necessary for a specific position, the candidates will have to provide experience certificate from their previous employers.

The certificate should clearly mention the designation, the duration of service and the role of the job.

11. Any other relevant documents

Candidates should take any other assistant documents required for eligibility verification, such as affidavits (if there is an discrepancy in the name), marriage certificate (if applying with a changed surname), etc.

General mistakes that can cause rejection

Even if a candidate has approved all selection tours, their application can be rejected:

  • Failure to provide original documents for verification.
  • Mismatched in the name or date of birth between various documents.
  • Non-conmissions of caste/category certificate in prescribed format.
  • Providing an expired or invalid OBC/EWS certificate.
  • The document is not carrying the required number of photocopies for verification.
