Tele Law Scheme: Free Legal Advice Initiative of Government of India Tele Law, a unique initiative has been started in collaboration with the Department of Justice, Government of India and CSC, under which free legal advice is provided to the citizens at the comfort of their homes. The objective of this scheme is to provide legal aid to the people so that they can easily find solutions to their legal issues. Under this, no fee is charged from any citizen nor is any deduction made on the digital platform. The scheme is especially helpful for those who require legal process and advice but cannot directly connect with experts.
Benefits of Tele Law Scheme
Under this scheme, if any citizen needs information about RTI, land dispute, cyber fraud or any kind of legal problem, then they can get advice through Tele Law. After registering the problem, the concerned lawyer directly advises the citizen through call on the same day.
Economic benefits for VLE
The VLE is paid Rs 60 by the Tele Law Department for each advice given. VLE can earn up to Rs 3000 by registering maximum 50 problems in a month. With this, VLEs not only get financial benefits but are also able to serve their society.
Profile Update and Case Registration Process
VLEs have been instructed to update their profiles and register a legal case of their own. Under this process the VLE has to understand the Tele Law service and ensure that OTP comes on the phone call for advice.
New version of DIGIPAY portal
The old portal of DIGIPAY is going to be closed soon, hence all VLEs are informed to start using the new portal. The new portal is faster, secure and more convenient, which will provide a better experience to VLEs.
