New rules related to food grains in ration card

The rules related to food grains in the ration card were also updated by the Central Government, under which more food items have been added for the individuals as compared to the previous time. According to the new rule, now people will be able to get wheat, rice, oil, sugar along with other spices etc. Let us tell you that there will be no special charge on additional food grains.

Eligibility for ration card

To get a new ration card, it will be necessary to follow the following rules.-

  • According to the new rule, a person having land of two hectares or more will not be issued a ration card.
  • To get a ration card, a person must be 18 years of age or above.
  • To get a ration card made, the person must be the head of the family.
  • The applicant must have a mobile number, Aadhar card and bank account.
  • No one in the applicant’s family should receive any government income.

What will happen if the rules are not followed

Those ration card holders who do not follow the prescribed rules due to lack of information about the new rules, their ration card will be deactivated by the government, after which they will not be able to get any kind of government benefits. How to apply for ration card?

  • To get a ration card, you will have to contact your Panchayat Secretary or Head.
  • After this, you will be given an application form for ration card, which will have to be filled.
  • All main documents have to be submitted to the office along with the application form.
  • In this way the process of preparing your ration card will start.
  • If eligible, the ration card will be made within a maximum of 1 month.
