eligibility criteria

The eligibility criteria for ICG Recruitment 2024 varies according to the post you are applying for:

1. For the post of Assistant (Group ‘B’, Non-Gazetted, Ministerial):

officers under central government,

  • Should be holding a corresponding post on regular basis in the parent cadre/department.
  • Or, with six years of regular service in Pay Band-1 (Rs. 5200-20200/- and Grade Pay Rs. 2800) or ten years of service in Pay Band-1 (Rs. 5200-20200/-). With Grade Pay of Rs.2400).
  • Must have degree from any recognized university.

2. For the post of Leading Hand Fireman (Group ‘C’, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial):

officers under central government,

  • Should hold corresponding post in Fire Cadre in Pay Band-1 (Rs. 5200-20200/- and Grade Pay Rs. 2000/-).
  • Or, must have three years service in Fireman Grade I or equivalent grade.

Must have the following qualifications:

  • Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board.
  • Experience in maintaining fire station documents.
  • At least one year experience in using fire fighting equipment.
  • Ability to direct and control fire brigades and take charge of shifts.
  • Must be physically fit and capable of performing difficult duties.

Desirable Qualification,

  • Experience with various fire fighting equipment and experience of working in regular civil or defense fire brigade as fireman.
