SBI PO Preliminary Exam Pattern
The SBI PO preliminary exam pattern has three sections: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability, with a total of 100 questions and a maximum of 100 marks. It is conducted online within a time limit of 1 hour. Each question carries 1 mark and for every wrong answer, 1/4th marks are deducted as negative marking. There is no sectional cut-off, and candidates are selected on the basis of merit for the main exam, in which about 10 times more candidates are selected than the number of vacancies.

SBI PO Mains Exam Pattern
The SBI PO Mains exam pattern will consist of two parts that will be conducted online. The objective test will last for 3 hours and will include sections on Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis and Interpretation, General/Economy/Banking Awareness and English Language, carrying a total of 200 marks. Each section will have a specified number of questions, and there will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for wrong answers. The descriptive test will be of 30 minutes, focusing on English language skills with questions on essay and letter writing, carrying a total of 50 marks. Candidates securing more than the minimum qualifying marks will proceed to the next stage, which includes Psychometric Test, Group Exercises and Interview, with shortlisting based on the ratio of up to 3 times the category-wise vacancies from the top of the merit list.
