Will SBI PO Mains 2025 actually be on 5 May?

The SBI PO 2025 Prelims Exam was rolled on 24 March 2025, and now everyone’s eyes are on the main examination, which is rumored to be scheduled for 05 May 2025. While this date has not been officially confirmed by SBI, it is floating between candidates and coaching circles. So, the big question is, how much it is likely that SBI PO Mains will actually be held on 5 May? Let’s break it by looking at the previous trends and the current situation.

Will SBI PO Mains 2025 actually be on 5 May?

Although there is no official term yet, all indications point to SBI PO Mains 2025. Consider May 5 as your work date. Suppose when the examination is being done, and accordingly the structure of your preparation. Pay attention to the main course, speed up your essay and letter writing, and do not ignore the current affairs for the last 4-6 months.

SBI Clerk Mains Exam Date last trend

Given the previous years, SBI has followed a fairly estimated pattern to schedule the men’s exam after prelims. Typically, there is a difference of about 30 to 45 days between the two stages. In 2022 and 2023-24, the time window was quite the same, just in a month, giving enough time to switch the gear and prepare for the second stage.

If we apply the same argument for this year, then on 5 May comes about six weeks after the prelims, which fits neatly in that date. Therefore, known by historical data, 5 May is not just a random estimate, it is a very realistic possibility.

Preparation, if SBI PO Mains on 05 May

Even if the date has not been officially confirmed, 5 May is a realistic estimate, and serious aspirations should be prepared as it is the real exam day.

Now is the time to focus its attention from prelims-style objective questions, which is in the main course, which is wider and more challenging. Emphasis on areas such as data analysis and interpretation, general/economic awareness, logic and descriptive English (including communication writing). Current affairs of at least 06 months are particularly important, so make sure that you are regularly modified to those people.

Make a smart, concentrated study plan for the next few weeks. Use mock tests to simulate the complete exam experience, analyze your performance and work on weak areas. Since the descriptive section is a make-or-brake part for many candidates, practice at least 2-3 essays and letters per week to improve your writing speed and clarity.
