KTET November Exam Date 2024 Released
Kerala Examination Board (KPB) has announced the KTET exam date for November cycle with detailed notification PDF. Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) for Category 1 (Lower Primary Class) and Category 2 (Upper Primary Class) will be conducted on January 18, 2025. KTET Exam for Category 3 (High School Class) and Category 4 [for Language Teachers – Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu (up to UP classes), Specialist Teachers (Art & Craft) and Physical Education teachers will be held on 19th January 2025. The exam will be in two shifts each day. first shift from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm and second shift will be held from 2.00 pm to 4.30 pm.

Kerala TET 2024 Application Form
The online application portal for accepting the application form for Kerala TET Exam 2024 for November cycle will be made available on the official website of www.ktet.kerala.gov.in from 11th November 2024 onwards. To avoid last-minute technical glitches candidates have to submit their application forms much before the last registration date. The last date to apply online for Kerala TET 2024 is 20th November 2024. Candidates are advised to submit their application forms without waiting last minute.
KTET Exam 2024- Application Fee
Candidates are required to pay an application fee to complete the KTET application forms. The online application fee can be paid in the mode of online via Net Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card. Without an application fee, candidates’ application forms will not be accepted. Check the category-wise application fee from the below table.

KTET Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for the KTET Exam 2024 candidates must ensure their eligibility in terms of educational qualification and age limit. Check the eligibility from here. If candidates do not fulfill the eligibility parameters their application will be rejected. The eligibility standards as per education qualification are as follows:
For Category 1 (Lower Primary Classes)
Candidates who are appearing for Kerala TET 2024 must be qualified following points:-
- Must pass Higher Secondary/ Higher Secondary or equivalent at least with 45% and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations 2002 or Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). or Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
For Category 2 (Upper Primary Classes)
- B.A/ B.Sc./ B.Com. and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education/ Trained Teachers’ Certificate (TTC) [by whatever name known] Examination board, conducted by Govt. Kerala or its equivalent. Or B.A./B.Sc. / B.Com with at least 45% marks and one year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) or Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary ( or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.Ed.). OR Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years BA/B.Sc.Ed or BA Ed or B.Sc.Ed.
For Category 3 (High School Classes)
The test is for HSA: (i) Malayalam (ii) English (iii) Hindi (iv) Sanskrit (v) Tamil (vi) Kannada (vii) Arabic (viii) Urdu (ix) Social Science (x) Physics (xi) ) Natural Sciences and (xii) Mathematics
- BA/B.Sc/B.Com and B.Ed with at least 45% marks. Degree in relevant subject (from any University of Kerala or any other University recognized as equivalent)
- For those who have M.Sc. Ed. Candidates having degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology with at least 50 per cent marks from any one of the regional education institutions funded by NCERT will be eligible to apply for the respective subject. For Botany and Zoology subjects, those with M.Sc. Ed., Ed. It is possible to apply for a degree in Life Sciences with at least 50 percent marks from any regional educational institution.
- Relaxation of 5% marks in minimum qualifying marks will be provided to candidates belonging to SC/ST and PwD categories. Candidates from OBC and OEC categories will be given 3% relaxation in qualifying marks for appearing in K-TET III.
for category 4
For Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu language teachers (up to upper primary level), specialist teachers and physical education teachers (up to high school level).
- Those who have acquired qualifications for the posts of Language Teachers, Specialist Teachers and Physical Education Teachers of Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit and Urdu (up to upper primary level) mentioned in Chapter XXXI of the Kerala Education Act and Rules can apply for Are eligible to do. -TET IV.
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST and differently abled categories will be provided a relaxation of 5% marks in the prescribed qualifying marks for eligibility to appear in K-TET IV.
Steps to apply online for Kerala TET 2024

Step 5: Upload the photograph in prescribed format (JPEG/JPG format and size between 20 to 30 KB).
Step 6: A unique application number will be sent to the registered email ID and mobile number of the candidates.
Step 7: Click on Candidates Login and enter your application number and ID.
Step 8: Submit the required details and pay the application fee as per category.
Step 9: Download the KTET application form and take a printout of it for future reference.

- KTET exam consists of 150 multiple choice questions (MCQs).
- For each category, 1 mark will be given and there is no negative marking for wrong answers.
