Kerala Examination Bhawan (KPB) has released the KTET 2024 notification on 6th November 2024 on the official website. Candidates willing to apply for KTET 2024 exam can start applying through the official portal from 11th November 2024. The last date to submit KTET online application form 2024 is 20th November 2024. KTET Exam 2024 is scheduled for 18th January 2025 and 19th January 2025. KTET Admit Card 2024 will be available for download on 8th January 2025. KTET 2024 Notification: Overview

To become eligible to apply for various teaching opportunities within Kerala, candidates must qualify the KTET exam 2024 and obtain the KTET certificate. KTET Exam Date 2024 & Schedule

With the release of the notification, KTET exam date 2024 has been announced. examination will be conducted 18 January and 19 January 2025 In offline mode through traditional pen and paper mode.

Candidates can apply for the KTET exam in four categories – Category I (Primary), Category II (Upper Primary), Category III (High School), and Category IV (Languages).

KTET Application Form 2024 will be available on the official portal from 11th November 2024. Candidates must submit the application form through online mode only. The last date to apply for KTET 2024 exam is 20th November 2024. Candidates must ensure to take a printout of the submitted application form for future reference.

KTET Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should read the notification for the beginning, it will provide them all the important information on the application process, eligibility criteria, exam pattern, syllabus and other nuances related to KTET Notification 2024 for November cycle. To qualify for KTET Category 1, Category 2, Category 3 and Category 4, candidates must fulfill the minimum educational requirements.

For Category 1 (Lower Primary Classes)

Candidates who are appearing for Kerala TET 2024 must qualify the following points:-

  • Must have passed Higher Secondary/Higher Secondary or equivalent with at least 45% as per NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations 2002 and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) or Higher Secondary/Sr. Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.Ed.). OR Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education)

For Category 2 (Upper Primary Classes)

  • B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Com. And 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education/ Trained Teacher Certificate (TTC) [by whatever name known] Examination board, conducted by Govt. Kerala or its equivalent. Or B.A./B.Sc. / B.Com with at least 45% marks and one year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) or Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary ( or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). OR Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years BA/B.Sc.Ed or BA Ed or B.Sc.Ed.

For Category 3 (High School Classes)

The test is for HSA: (i) Malayalam (ii) English (iii) Hindi (iv) Sanskrit (v) Tamil (vi) Kannada (vii) Arabic (viii) Urdu (ix) Social Science (x) Physics (xi) ) Natural Sciences and (xii) Mathematics

  • BA/B.Sc/B.Com and B.Ed with at least 45% marks. Degree in relevant subject (from any University of Kerala or any other University recognized as equivalent)
  • For those who have M.Sc. Ed. Candidates having degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology with at least 50 per cent marks from any one of the regional education institutions funded by NCERT will be eligible to apply for the respective subject. For Botany and Zoology subjects, those with M.Sc. Ed., Ed. It is possible to apply for a degree in Life Sciences with at least 50 percent marks from any regional educational institution.
  • Relaxation of 5% marks in minimum qualifying marks will be provided to candidates belonging to SC/ST and PwD categories. Candidates from OBC and OEC categories will be given 3% relaxation in qualifying marks for appearing in K-TET III.

For Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu language teachers (up to upper primary level), specialist teachers and physical education teachers (up to high school level).

  • Those who have acquired qualifications for the posts of Language Teachers, Specialist Teachers and Physical Education Teachers of Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit and Urdu (up to upper primary level) mentioned in Chapter XXXI of the Kerala Education Act and Rules can apply for Are eligible to do. -TET IV.
  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST and differently abled categories will be provided a relaxation of 5% marks in the prescribed qualifying marks for eligibility to appear in K-TET IV.

KTET Qualifying Marks 2024

KTET exam has different minimum qualifying marks depending on the category of the candidate. For general category, 60% marks are required to pass. Candidates belonging to reserved categories need to obtain minimum 55% marks.

  • General Category: Minimum qualifying marks – 60%
  • Reserved Category: Minimum qualifying marks – 55%

KTET Exam Process 2024

To understand the chronology of events under KTET 2024, candidates should read the following section carefully. They should understand that they have to apply for KTET 2024 through the online application process after the release of admit card. After this, they have to appear for the scheduled KTET exam 2024 18 January and 29 January 2025Finally, the results will be released and candidates can access it from the official login.

  • Online Application: Fill the KTET application form on the website of the examination hall. Submit the form online along with copies of payment receipt (or challan) and certificates. Select your exam center district during application.
  • Appear for the exam: Each KTET category (1, 2, 3, and 4) exam lasts for 2.5 hours. Reach the examination center at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination. The exam is offline and uses OMR sheets.
  • Check Result: KTET results have been declared on the website of the examination hall. Those who obtain the minimum qualifying marks qualify and receive the KTET certificate.
