Haryana Ambedkar Scholarship Scheme: A new scheme has been started by the Haryana Government for meritorious students. The scheme we are talking about is called Haryana Ambedkar Scholarship Scheme. Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship, Haryana Scheme’s other name is also Dr. Ambedkar Meritorious Students Revised Scheme. This is a merit-based scholarship run by the Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Welfare Department of the Government of Haryana.
Government started scheme for meritorious students
Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided to the selected candidates for the entire duration of their course. Under Dr. Ambedkar Meritorious Students Revised Scheme, meritorious and needy students of SC/BC category of Haryana state get financial assistance of up to Rs 12,000 every year. Under this scheme, it is mandatory for a student who has passed class 10th to obtain 70 percent marks in urban areas and 60 percent marks in rural areas.
Similarly, for students who have passed class 12th, it is mandatory to score 75 percent marks in urban areas and 70 percent marks in rural areas. In the graduation examination, one has to score 65 percent marks in urban areas and 60 percent marks in rural areas.
Haryana Ambedkar Scholarship provides financial assistance in this way
Financial assistance under this scheme is provided in the following ways:
1. Class 11/Diploma/Certificate Course (First Year) – INR 8,000
2. First year of Graduation including Arts/Commerce/Science Disciplines/All Diplomas/Certificates (First Year) – INR 8,000
3. Engineering and other technical or professional courses – INR 9,000
4. Medical and Allied Courses – INR 10,000
5. First year of Post Graduation involving Arts/Commerce/Science discipline – INR 9,000
6. Engineering and other technical or professional courses – INR 11,000
7. Medical and Allied Courses – INR 12,000
Necessary eligibility to avail the benefits of the scheme
- The applicant must be a native of Haryana.
- The candidate should belong to SC/BC/Vimukt Jati/DNT/Tapri community.
- The annual income of the applicant’s family should not exceed Rs 4 lakh.
- The applicant should not be availing the benefit of any merit based scheme.
- He can avail the benefit of any other scholarship.
- The candidate should be studying regularly from class 11 to post graduation.

- Attested copy of Aadhar Card
- Attested copy of the passed class marksheet on the basis of which the student can apply for scholarship
