AFCAT 1 Notification 2025 released for 336 posts, online application starts from 2nd December 2024


Indian Air Force (IAF) has released AFCAT 1 Notification 2025, inviting applications for 336 vacancies in Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches. The online application process will start on 2nd December 2024 and will remain open till 31st December 2024. This recruitment drive provides a golden opportunity to interested candidates to serve in the respected Indian Air Force, whose training is scheduled to begin in the first week of January 2026. AFCAT 1 Notification 2025 Released

AFCAT 1 2025 opens the gateway to an exciting and prestigious career in the Indian Air Force. With 336 vacancies and structured training programs offered for all branches, candidates are advised to avail this opportunity. Online applications are invited for Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches starting from January 2026.

AFCAT 1 Application Process 2024

Interested candidates can submit their applications through the official Indian Air Force Recruitment portal starting from 2 December 2024. Ensure that all eligibility criteria are met and necessary documents are prepared for a smooth application process.

The application fee for AFCAT 1 2025 is ₹550 + GST, which has to be paid online at the time of submission of application form.

AFCAT 1 2025 Vacancy

A total of 336 vacancies will be filled through this process. This recruitment is also eligible for NCC Special Entry Scheme (for Flying Branch) – 10% seats out of CDSE vacancies for PC and 10% seats out of AFCAT vacancies for SSC. Branch-wise men and women vacancies details are tabulated below.

AFCAT 1 Training Details

The duration of training varies depending on the branch:

  • Flying and Ground Duty (Technical): 62 weeks
  • Ground Duty (Non-Technical): 52 weeks

AFCAT 2025 Age Limit

Candidates applying for AFCAT 1 2025 must fall under the prescribed age limit to be eligible for the course and training.

  • Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years at the time of commencement of the course.
  • Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical): 20 to 26 years.

Candidates must be unmarried At the time of commencement of the course.

AFCAT Salary Structure

Candidates selected through AFCAT 1 2025 exam will be entitled to a starting basic pay of ₹56,100 under the 7th CPC Pay Matrix (Level 10). Additional perks, perks and benefits will further enhance the compensation, making it an attractive career opportunity. However, during the training period, flight cadets will receive a fixed stipend of ₹56100 per month
