What is UGC NET Exam 2024?

UGC NET exam is a national level examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC). The examination is conducted twice a year to determine the eligibility of candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professorship and PhD admissions in universities and colleges across India.

Out of the registered 1,121,225 candidates, 684,224 appeared for the NET exam. According to the NTA result notice, 4,970 candidates were qualified for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), while 53,694 were eligible only for Assistant Professor posts, and 112,070 were eligible only for PhD.
