One-time settlement scheme for electricity consumers in Madhyanchal and Uttar Pradesh: A great relief opportunity Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited and Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) have announced a one-time settlement scheme (OTS) for settlement of outstanding electricity bills. This scheme provides consumers an easy and beneficial opportunity to settle outstanding bills.

Valid for customers of all subdivisions of Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation!
Commencement and duration of the scheme
The scheme will commence from 15 December 2024 and will remain in force till 31 January 2025.
The scheme is divided into three phases:
Phase 1: 15 December 2024 to 31 December 2024
Phase 2: 1 January 2025 to 15 January 2025
Phase 3: 16 January 2025 to 31 January 2025
Key benefits of the scheme
Waiver of surcharge:
Defaulting consumers can get up to 100% waiver on surcharge.
Facility of payment in installments:
For consumers who cannot pay in lump sum, the option of payment in installments is available.
Eligibility
The scheme will benefit consumers in the domestic (LMV-1), commercial (LMV-2), private institutions (LMV-4B), and industrial (LMV-6) categories.
This also includes consumers whose connections have been permanently disconnected.
Registration Process
Consumers need to visit the official website (www.uppcl.org) for registration.
Latest electricity bill and mobile number are mandatory for registration.
Incentives for CSC VLE
CSCs (Jan Suvidha Kendras) and other agencies will be given incentives for playing an active role in the scheme.
Incentives:
₹20 per transaction for payments up to ₹2000.
0.5% of the collected amount for payments above ₹2000.
Additional 10% incentive.
Process of implementation of the scheme
Press notes, social media, and other means will be used for wide publicity of the scheme.
List of consumers will be prepared at each block and subdivision level and they will be motivated to take advantage of the scheme.
