CSIR NET Physics New Syllabus
The CSIR-UGC (NET) examination for eligibility for the award of Junior Research Fellowship and Lectureship will be a single paper test consisting of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The question paper will be divided into three parts. The pattern of single paper MCQ test will be given below:-
- Total marks – 200 marks.
- Total time- 3 hours.
- The question paper will be divided into three parts
- Part A – This part will have 20 questions related to General Science, Quantitative Reasoning and Analysis and Research Aptitude. Candidates will have to answer any 15 questions for 30 marks, each question carrying 2 marks.
- Part B- This part will consist of 25 multiple choice questions (MCQs) covering the topics generally given in Part ‘A’ (Core) of the syllabus. The candidate will have to answer any 20 questions for 70 marks, with each question carrying 3.5 marks.
- Part C- This part will consist of 30 questions from Part ‘B’ (Advanced) and Part ‘A’ which are designed to test the candidate’s knowledge of scientific concepts and/or application of scientific concepts. A candidate has to answer any 20 questions for 100 marks, each question carrying 5 marks.
