DICSC Center Project Miety New Scheme | Like CSC, a DICSC center will be opened in every village: The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has launched the Digital India Common Service Center (DICSC) project, which aims to provide financial, commercial and e-governance services to rural citizens while bridging the digital divide. This project will start from Pilibhit and Gorakhpur districts of Uttar Pradesh. Its budget has been set at Rs 3,160.88 lakh, and it will be implemented for an initial six months, extendable up to nine months.
Objective and primary services of DICSC
The main objective of DICSC is to create an integrated digital platform that provides essential services to the citizens of rural India. This initiative will strengthen digital services in rural areas of India, providing access to banking, e-commerce, telemedicine, tele-law and educational services to people living in these places.
A total of 4,740 centers will be set up under this project, of which 720 will be in Pilibhit alone and 1,273 in Gorakhpur. Modern infrastructure and high-speed internet access
DICSC centers will be equipped with high-speed broadband connectivity, enabling them to function as multi-functional service centres. These centres, operated through Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs), will boost the rural economy and generate new employment opportunities.
Each DICSC center will also provide services like telemedicine and tele-law in addition to Aadhaar registration, financial services, and education. Its objective is to ensure access to digital services to every person, especially in areas where these facilities have not reached till now.

Expansion of centers across the country
Under the DICSC project, a model DICSC center will be established in almost all the gram panchayats in ten districts of the country, under which a total of 4,740 centers will be opened. These districts include:

- gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh): 1,273 centers
- Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Maharashtra): 870 centers
- Chamba (Himachal Pradesh): 309 centers
- Khammam (Telangana): 589 centers
- Gandhinagar (Gujarat): 288 centers
- Mamit (Mizoram): 100 centers
- jodhpur (Rajasthan): 415 centers
- Leh (Ladakh): 95 centers
- Puducherry:81 center
Technical Monitoring and Mobile Van Service
The project will be managed and centralized technical monitoring by CSC e-Governance Services India Limited. Apart from this, GPS-enabled mobile vans will also be deployed to take government schemes to every village and increase the reach of services. This will not only bring transparency in service delivery, but will also provide essential digital services to rural citizens.
Rural Development and Economic Empowerment
The DICSC project is expected to increase digital literacy. By empowering local entrepreneurs through digital services, this project will strengthen economic conditions in rural areas and promote inclusive growth. The initiative aims to connect the citizens of Pilibhit and Gorakhpur to the broader digital economy by increasing the availability of digital services.
