- The duration of the internship usually range from 4 weeks to 6 months depending on the nature of the course and project requirements.
- The intern should apply through its respective institutions or colleges and directly matches the relevant DRDO laboratories.
- The trainees of 1961 do not apply to this scheme, which means that trainees are not considered as trainees.
- No employment guarantee has been given after the completion of the internship.
- The DRDO has no liability for continuous individual injuries during the internship period.
